Marriott Cincinnati Downtown River Center

Room was comfortable but not that clean. Restaurant nice but too expensive for a sandwich.

Upon getting our Priceline deal confirmation for the Cincinnati Marriott at River Center, we expected to have a great experience, as my husband had recently stayed in the Dallas Marriott Los Colinas. He was there for nearly a week for work, and came home with nothing but great things to say about the service and quality of the location. After looking at the reviews for the Cincinnati Marriott at River Center, I found out that there were renovations underway. When I called to find out exactly what this involved, I was told that all of the guest rooms were complete and they would be working in the gift shop and possibly the lounge, and that there would probably be work going on over the weekend, as early as 8:00 in the morning. She was unfriendly at best, bordering on rude. Upon arriving at the hotel, we decided to park in a public parking lot directly across the street, which advertised a flat $3 charge per day for weekend parking, as the hotel website indicated that parking would be $12 per day. We found out later that was apparently for valet parking only, as we were told we could have our parking ticked validated for free parking (after we had already parked). We checked into the hotel at about 6:30 pm on Saturday, and went to our room. We asked for, and were given, an upgrade - to a city view room on the 5th floor. The view of the city was lovely, however the window was filthy. And while I realize this is outside the control of the hotel, the river below was disgusting, with debris collected in the water around the lookout area. I went to hang something in the closet and had a difficult time opening the closet door as it was off of its track. We then went out for a while, and returned, with plans to spend some time in the hot tub/pool area. It took 3 separate elevator rides to get there - from our room to the lobby, then to a different elevator to get to the fitness center level, then through the fitness center to yet another elevator to get to the pool. ...read more

Awesome deal, great staff, great views, Romantic atmosphere.

Very nice hotel with comfortable beds. I was disappointed in the bathroom because the tub drained very slow, by the end of my shower I was almost knee deep in water. The toilet ran most of the night. The children enjoyed the pool and work out room. ...read more

The hotel was gorgeous. We loved the rooms and the view. Lobby was very nice. Overall a very nice hotel.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The bed itself was extremely comfortable and the staff was very friendly.
